Description

Embracing the theme "Neonatal Nursing: Our Path Forward Together", the CANN 2023 National Conference will be held in person at the MaRS Centre in Toronto, Ontario. This two-day conference will feature an inspiring and dynamic lineup of national and international speakers, experts and leaders who will address today's emerging topics and trends that are forging the way to improved neonatal nursing care and newborn health. The conference will also include poster sessions, an exhibit hall and networking opportunities.

The CANN 2023 conference will also include sessions hosted in partnership with the Canadian Premature Babies Foundation. CANN is also collaborating with and has aligned our conference dates with FICare – Family Integrated Care, which will be hosting their conference on September 30 at SickKids.

In Person - Pre-Conference Workshop (Courtyard by Marriott Toronto Downtown - College Room, Lower Level)

The STABLE cardiac course will provide an overview of the history and physical exam of neonates with suspected CHD, as well as the anatomy and physiological features of severe congenital heart defects and their subsequent repair. The newly available course uses state-of-the-art visuals and videos to demonstrate the anatomy, physiology and repair of many common and life-threatening defects. Lunch will be provided.

CANN has secured a limited number of hotel rooms for our group at a special rate of $329 for a Standard Room (per room, per night, single or double occupancy, plus applicable taxes and fees). Our group rate will be available until Monday, September 11, 2023, 17:00 Eastern Time, or until our group block is sold out, whichever comes first. After that point, any new reservation will be subject to availability at the daily rate applicable at the time of reservation.

Individuals are responsible for their own hotel reservations and their own room, taxes, and incidental charges. A credit card must be provided when reserving a room. All charges must be paid upon checkout.

The Courtyard by Marriott Toronto Downtown is a 7-minute walk from the MaRS Centre.

The closest subway station to The Courtyard by Marriott Toronto Downtown is College Station (TTC).

The CANN 2023 National Conference will be held in the auditorium at the MaRS Centre, located at 101 College Street in Toronto.


Subway: MaRS offers direct access to the Queen’s Park subway station, with connecting service to GO Trains at Union Station.

Parking: Underground parking is available at the MaRS Centre.

REGISTRATION AS A CANN MEMBER: You must be a current member of the Canadian Association of Neonatal Nurses (CANN). You can renew or apply for membership on the CANN website – click here.

REGISTRATION AS A NON-MEMBER includes CANN membership for one year.

REGISTRATION AS A STUDENT (for full-time undergraduate and graduate nursing students): Please upload proof of enrolment in a full-time undergraduate or graduate nursing program as an image or PDF file during the registration process, or send by email to secretariat@neonatalcann.ca. Registration as a STUDENT includes CANN membership for one year.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellation and substitution requests must be received in writing, by email to secretariat@neonatalcann.ca. Refunds of registration fees, less a $25 administration fee, will be issued for cancellations received by Monday, August 28, 2023. No refunds will be issued after this date. If you are unable to attend, you may substitute someone in your place. Refunds will be processed after the conference.
